I'm a food writer, food photographer, recipe developer and recipe tester with a longstanding background in feature writing. I served as a dining critic and wrote a weekly recipe column for James Beard Award-nominated Serious Eats, and regularly wrote food features and test recipes for Chicago Sun-Times. I'm also a eight-time author with books that include the definitive "Food Lovers' Guide to Chicago," "The Easy Meat Cookbook," "The Meat Lover's Slow Cooker Cookbook," "Easy Mexican Food Favorites" and "Chicago Select." Beyond regularly contributing to the Zagat Survey, I frequently recipes for corporate clients, among them Dove, Wolf/Sub-Zero, Stubb's Bar-B-Q, Sugar in the Raw, Rice Select, Allen Brothers and Woodland Foods.
